Time...where does it go?

Well, I can't believe it has already been a week since I helped move my dear family!  Oh how I miss my neices already!  (and my bro and SISTA!)    It has been really quiet around town, and the excitement of heading over to Phillip Street is no longer there!  I am very happy for them and the area they moved to is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! I just wish it was a bit closer.

So, on to brighter, more happy things...I have to give a BIG, HUGE, THANK YOU, to our LORD!  PRAISE HIM!  My vehicle was making some scraping, metal grinding metal noises when I would go over bumps of any kind, so I was taking it slow on all bumps.  I figured it was needing to be lubricated or something... Well, I had drove out of town for a couple days on business, and when I got back I had my dad take a look at it to see if there was anything he could see, then I wanted him to test drive it to see what he thought it might be before I brought it to the shop.  That way I felt like I wouldn't get ripped off, if I knew what the problem was.  So, dad took a look and he tells me this vehicle is going NO WHERE except straight to the shop!  There are two bars holding the front end of cars to body with nuts and bolts (BIG ONES)  Anyway, one was totally corroded and gone. NOTHING!  There wasn't much holding the front end other than the one side, and it didn't look too good either!  Oh my goodness!!  I couldn't believe it!!  So, I drove it to the shop and man alive every time I went over a bump, hearing that noice made me cringe when I had seen what should beunder the car to hold it together!  PRAISE THE LORD!!  I drove 4 hours on the freeway at speeds of 70-75, and I am hear to tell you about it!  So, I am telling you...no matter what sound your car makes, even if you think it is minor...have someone who knows something about cars take a look!  PRAISE THE LORD I am okay, no one else got hurt and the bill to fix my car wasn't too high!  GOD IS GOOD!  HE was definitely watching over me! (thanks also to those that were praying for me those couple days!)

So, that was the excitement this week.  I had to bum a ride for 4.5 days!  But, now all is well and my vehicle drives like it is brand new!  Amazing!

This coming weekend will be another one on the road.  A good high school friend of mine is getting married right here in Montana!  I  look forward to seeing some old friends and doing a bit of catch up.  However, I am not nearly excited about the wedding as I am the following weekend!!!!!!  Watch out family here I come!!  I can't wait to spend long hours chatting and catching up, laughing, boating, eating ice cream, and who knows what else!  Boy oh boy!!  What a joy it will be, to be together!

I had better go, Lucy has brought her stuffed squeaky squirrel to me twice now!  She is ready for a good run!  (don't worry animal lovers, the stuffed squirrel is really a fake!)  Uh, oh, that is three times!!  I love you and can't wait to see you!!

Begging...it pays off! (okay you didn't beg, you just asked a lot)

Well, here I am finally doing this with the persuasion of my sister.  So, what do you think?  Am I doing a good job?  I have to say after reading yours, Kirsten's, and Micale's I feel inadequate to make this interesting.(I tried to read Kelly's but it says she closed it)   Oh, how I love to read you ladies entries and it makes my heart long to get together with you!  (I can't wait for Driftwood!!)

Nothing too new and exciting here.  In fact I am rather saddened that Nate and Annie along with my nieces are leaving town.  I will miss them dearly.  Life will continue to go on however and I will learn to cope with it!

My garden is doing so-so, it could use more TLA&W (Tender loving attention and water)  I try, but is is so hard when the weather has been so weird! HOT HOT HOT!  over a hundred for weeks, and then it dips chilly in the 70's.  Stable would be good.  BUT I have to say that mom is thoroughly enjoying the hybrid cucumbers I planted for her.  They are an Armenian Yard Long Cucumber.  They don't get dark green, but they get VERY long and ridged.  They look great when you slice them.  Like a flower shape.  I planted a burpless kind as well, and I am enjoying those as pickles.  UMM, they taste like the pickles mom used to make on the farm.  My potatoes are doing okay, they aren't very big yet, but I look forward to digging those this fall. Then there is my MONSTER tomato plant!! This roma plant is a BUSH!  I am not kidding.  I have a tomato cage around it, and a stake in the middle, and have tied the plant up 4 times, yes 4 and it still hangs!!  AND there are probably hundreds of romas on the plant.  The only bad thing is the romas aren't real big, so it will take quite a few to make a small batch of salsa.  I look forward to it.

Well, that is all for now, I don't want to over-do it on my first log!  I can't guarantee how often I will do this, but I am trying!
